In 2018, the committee directed departments, agencies and mass organisations to fully grasp and seriously follow the Party Central Committee and province’s documents on external service information work. Relevant agencies, departments and localities actively popularised the Party and State’s policies, laws and guidelines on external relation, information on visits abroad by Vietnamese leaders and Vietnam visits by foreign high-ranking officials, while promoting the country’s reform achievements and the land, people and culture of Vietnam in general and Hai Duong in particular.

The provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, the Department of Information and Communications, the Journalists’ Association and relevant agencies held meetings and conferences to provide updates on domestic and global situation, and the province’s external work. The provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the association of relatives of overseas Vietnamese also held gatherings to disseminate the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, and local socio-economic performance. Press agencies also popularised policies and the culture, people and potential of Hai Duong to domestic and international friends.

The province also attached importance to trade promotion activities via holding conferences to call on firms at home and abroad to invest in Hai Duong.

In 2019, the committee will continue improving the efficiency of external service information work and directing public opinion, thus contributing to fighting wrongful and distorted allegations dividing the great national unity. It will also promote the local potential, strengths and socio-economic performance, as well as join trade and investment promotion events to introduce local goods abroad./.
